OUR MISSION:
The Mental Health Association in Atlantic County (MHAAC) is reaching out to this counties Iraq and Afghanistan military veterans through a mutual aid veteran's self-help group. It's all about veterans helping other veterans through the group process. In addition to the traditional MHAAC role of providing hope for individuals who suffer from mental illness and their families, this veteran's group will among other things offer aid to veterans through education, advocacy and support. This member-run group for recently repatriated combat veterans will complement MHAAC's sixty-year plus history of successfully reaching out to thousands of people and providing hope in southern New Jersey.
